Olive oil is capable to prevent brain cancer

It is no secret that consumption of Extra Virgin olive oil has uncountable advantages to health, including prevention of strokes and diabetes. Now researchers say that it can even help to struggle with malignant tumors.

 

The school of Biological sciences in University of Edinburgh has published fascinating results of a recent research which can make a miracle in the field of cancer researches. It is proved that oleic acid can support production of the molecules suppressing a tumor in the cages which are grown up in laboratory, to be exact miR-7, the active molecule of a cage in a brain suppressing development of tumors. It has become clear that oleic acid which contains in such products as avocado nuts, sesame oil and olive oil, doesn’t allow cellular protein MSI2 to oppress miR-7. That is oleic acid can prevent development of tumors of a brain or dissolve them in embryo.

 

So far it is impossible to claim that olive oil in a diet prevents brain cancer, but the proof of anticarcinogenic properties of oleic acid is a first step on the way of mankind to disposal of such dreadful disease as brain cancer
