MediterranEan diet helps to conceive

This information for those who have problems with conception of children or at the moment undergoes hormonal therapy. The new research published in the Oxford academic publication of Human Reproduction Journal has assumed that the Mediterranean diet can increase possibilities of women to become pregnant and have a healthy child to 65-68% in comparison with those who don’t eat this way.

 

244 women who have participated in a research have been interviewed about their eating patterns for the last 6 months prior to therapy for conception. The research took place in Greece, in Athens. Ladies were aged from 22 to 41 and underwent hormonal therapy for the first time, had no obesity. The research has shown that the offered food type most of all has influenced girls up to 35 years, increasing their chances to become pregnant for 27%. It should be noted that the diet of the partner isn’t less important and the Mediterranean type of food also positively influences also male fertility, improves quality of a seed. At the moment, this is a first-ever research connecting the Mediterranean type of alimentation with an opportunity to become pregnant, but you have learned the first.

 

We remind you that the Mediterranean diet means not restrictions on amount of food, but daily consumption of Extra Virgin olive oil, fresh fruit and vegetables, fish, cereals and beans.
